Switching apps

From Hevy to GiFit, without losing anything

The real question when you change training app is not which one looks better: it is whether your history comes with you. With GiFit it does, and it takes a minute.

Export from Hevy

In the Hevy app: Profile → Settings → Export data. A CSV arrives by email. If Hevy has moved it, look for «Export».

Open GiFit

Settings → Import from Hevy/Strong. Pick the file: GiFit works out on its own which of the two apps it came from.

Confirm the exercises

302 exercises are matched on their own. For the rest GiFit already suggests the match: one tap accepts it.

What actually comes across

What about exercises it does not know?

Nothing is thrown away. Anything outside the catalogue shows up in a list with a match already suggested: accept it with one tap, or keep it as a custom exercise. Nothing disappears quietly.

Coming from Strong?

Same steps, same file. GiFit also reads Strong's European export — the semicolon-separated one that many importers reject.

Why people switch

Your training, on your own phone

Download GiFit, import the file, and your whole history is where it was. No account, and no connection.
