The program where you build plans, cycles and leaderboards and send them into your athletes’ app. It is free: no licence to buy, no subscription, no cap on athletes or trainers. Nothing has to be authorised — you download it, install it, and it works.
To receive plans on their phone an athlete needs a GiFit subscription — the price is on the store and it does not go through you. Leave your email: we send you codes, one for iPhone and one for Android, each worth three free months, for the first athletes you want to start.
Four things usually discovered halfway through an install.
64-bit. There is no Mac or Linux build of the desktop program; the athletes’ app is on Android and iPhone.
The runtime the program needs is inside the installation already: that is why the file is 103 MB.
It installs for the user who runs it. On a shared floor PC, where often nobody has the administrator password, it installs anyway.
Clients, plans and history live in your user’s data folder, not in the program folder: updating does not touch them.
We would rather say it here than let a red window say it for us.
Your browser may warn that the file is “not commonly downloaded”, and when the installer starts Windows shows “Windows protected your PC” with the publisher listed as unknown. To carry on: More info → Run anyway.
There is exactly one reason, and it is not a fault in the file: the program is not signed with an Authenticode certificate. That signature is bought yearly and would add neither a feature nor a line of real security to the program; for now that money does not go into the price you pay, which is zero. If and when it does, the warning goes away on its own.
An antivirus may flag it for the same reason — a new, unsigned file nobody has seen yet. If that happens, the useful thing to do is check the checksum below and write to info@gifit.it: we report the false positive to the antivirus vendor ourselves.

To verify it, from Command Prompt in your downloads folder:

If the two strings match, the file you have is exactly the one we built. If they do not, do not install it — write to us. The same value is published as a text file: GiFit-Trainer.msi.sha256.
The program starts empty and asks what kind of PC this is. No account, no sign-up.
A gym or studio with several trainers, or your own PC for yourself and a few people: roles and permissions differ, the features do not.
Each athlete scans the code once from their GiFit app. From then on plans and cycles arrive on their own, and progress comes back.
Optional: the program works fully without it. It is what earns the badge telling the athletes’ app that this gym is verified by us.
No. The program is free and there is no licence to activate: you download it from this page and it works. The form is only for gyms that want their identity signed — the “verified” badge.
To receive plans on their phone, yes: the athlete’s app is a subscription, and that price does not go through you: we ask you for no licence and no commission, and what you charge for your own work is yours to decide. For the first ones you want to start, ask for the codes: three free months each, for iPhone and for Android. Without a subscription the app stays usable, but the link with the gym does not.
The badge, not the features. Clients, the plan editor, the generator, cycles, WODs, leaderboards, printing and athlete pairing all work in an unverified gym.
Download the new version from this page and install it over the old one: Windows recognises it as an update, not as a second program. Your data is untouched, because it lives in your user’s data folder and not in the installation folder.
Yes, nothing counts installations. Bear in mind each PC has its own data: two workstations are not one gym seen on two screens.
If double-clicking gives a file-access error, something in the middle is blocking it from starting (not a warning to confirm: a block). Write to info@gifit.it saying which security product is installed: we have met this case before and know where to look.
Not to work: the program lives entirely on your PC. It is needed only to deliver plans and cycles to paired athletes and to receive their progress, and that traffic is encrypted for the recipient’s key — how it works.
